A new review

This review came to us via email from Alex, aged 11:

The Secret Seven (series) by Enid Blyton

The secret seven are a group of kids starting up a secret club called the Secret Seven, S.S. for short. The members of the S.S. are Peter (leader) Janet (Peter's sister), Jack, Pam, Barbara, Colin and George.

When they formed the club it was just for fun and playing. Then Peter said "we have to do something with this club", after that George said "we could solve mysteries". So after that they solved all kinds of mysteries.

There are 15 books in the series. My favorite is no.9, Secret Seven Mystery.

A good book review will tell us:
  • what it is about the book you liked or didn't like
  • what type of book it was - adventure, fantasy, real life, funny, historical, etc.
  • something about the characters
  • a little about the plot (don't give it all away!)
  • maybe something about the writing
It should be no more than 300 words though - don't re-write the book!

Entries close Friday March 25, and the winners will be announced on Wednesday April 6.

The library reserves the right to publish your review on the blog along with your first name - no other personal details will be published but will need to be supplied in your email so we can contact the winners.

So, it's time to get reading and writing!!
