What is Lightning Readers?

Lightning Readers started as a book club for 7-12 years olds at the St Kilda Library. Recently it extended to another club at Albert Park and now we're taking it to the world wide web!

Lightning Readers - the blog - is the Port Phillip Library Service's venture into the blogosphere to allow those who can't be part of the physical book clubs to participate and interact with other book lovers the same age.

You'll find the occasional competition, quiz or poll too. And if you've got something to say, we'd love to hear it - just leave a comment (but please add your first name and age otherwise it won't be published).

If you've got a review you want to see on the blog why not email us at library@portphillip.vic.gov.au (just put Lightning Readers review in the subject line) - don't forget to rate it from 1-5 (5 being the top rating).

You'll notice the St Kilda club uses the REALLY rating system (really good, really really good etc. - you get the picture), the Albert Park club uses STARS - you can use either (or neither)! (But don't forget to add your first name - and if you think it's for a younger or older age group tell us that too!)

So, if you're between 7 and 12, love reading and want to talk about all things books, why not become a 'cyber' Lightning Reader!
