It's basically about this kids whose a criminal mastermind and also a genius. He found out about the fairy world, which is about three inches away from the core of the earth. Think about the strongest man in the world, then times that a hundred times. That is the strength of Butler. He's trained in martial arts and his favourite weapon is a semi-automatic machine gun. The main bad guy of the book is Abbot. He's a demon. Then there's an imp who is half human half warlock, and a lot of necessary mud rolling. Artemis travels through time and arrives three year off the mark...

Old Tom at the Beach by Leigh Hobbs, review by Nicholas
At the start the owner of Old Tom goes to the beach and he goes too far out to sea. He goes past a friendly mermaid and his pants come off! Then he gets hooked by a pirate ship, and the captain is called Perky the Pirate. Then he falls off the ship and a friendly whale uses his blowhole to send him to shore and he lands right next to his owner lying in the sun.

It's about this ten-year-old kid called August, Auggie. He has a deformed face. He's had twenty seven surgeries to help him hear, breathe and talk. He was home schooled until ten. Then he begins regular school in the fifth grade. For the week or so, no one wanted to sit with him at the whole table. After that week, he helps someone with their project because that person was really good at phones. In the end they become buddies. That was his first friend. Then there is a girl called Summer. He gets bullied by this rich boy Gillian. Auggie receives an award for being a kind person.
