2 new reviews, just in...

The adventures of Super Diaper Baby by George Beard & Harold Hutchins - reviewed by Louis, aged 7

I liked this book because it was funny and weird! It’s about a boy who and falls out of the window and falls in some power drink and became SUPER DIAPER BABY! The main character is Super Diaper Baby, I think he’s weird because he dresses in a really silly way! In the book some words were spelt wrong but it’s on purpose. I think its good for the other boys!!

Playing Beatie Bow by Ruth Park - reviewed by Julia

Playing Beattie Bow is a gripping book about a girl in her teens, Abigail who gets accidentally taken into the world of Beatie Bow. Beatie being a mysterious little girl who has a special gift – a sort of time travelling.  Abigail is overwhelmed and confused when she comes into Beatie’s long gone world; the Sydney she knows seems miles away. But she has a prophecy to fulfil in Beatie’s world before she can leave… This exiting book will enchant you in the story of Abigail’s life as she deals with her problems back at home and the struggle of growing up. The book is quite confusing at times as it has lots of ‘olden day talk’ in it, but I think this adds to the charm of the book. I’d definitely recommend this book to girls and boys aged from 10-13 years old, and especially if they’re interested in the history of Sydney.

Both Louis and Julia will go into the draw for a $50 gift voucher for emailing these reviews to the library!
